Moving Forward

On Nov. 13, students left classes to attend the Black Lives Matter demonstration to stand in soladatiry with students of University of Missouri. Using social media and #Luc2Mizzou, students were able to spread the word and show support. These are additional photos that correlate to the story “Moving Forward” in the 2016 edition of Mosaic Magazine.
Julian Marshall, co-founder of The Black Tribune led the crowd in chants and facilitated the Black Lives Matters demonstration.
#BlackLivesMatter along with #Luc2Mizzou were used to gain social media traction and increase solidarity with students at Mizzou.
Students of all ethnic backgrounds came together to support students of color at Mizzou.
